The TPS difference:
Curriculum- Our CLASSICAL EDUCATION curriculum focuses on history, language, and the Great Books, with a significant amount of time also devoted to art, music, and drama.
Virtue-Centric Education- TPS has developed a TK-12 character education program based on the Platonic Virtues – Justice, Prudence, Temperance, and Fortitude. We hold our students to a high standard of conduct and help students learn from each situation that they encounter.
Exceptional Teachers- that fill every day with the JOY and WONDER of learning.
TPS is a TK - 12 college prep school, offering Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors classes in high school. We also offer opportunities to enroll in community college courses!
Our students' Classical Education in grades TK-12 is based on
the "Trivium" which covers;
Grammar (TK-5), Logic (6-9) and Rhetoric (10-12) in the proper developmental stages.
Classical education has two simple goals: teach students to be virtuous and teach them HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
And then, there's our Campus Culture...
Our students are expected to honor and exhibit respectful and kind behavior at all times.
At TPS, we call that, “Virtues in Practice”
Virtues in Practice is a school-wide system to promote positive behavior and create an environment in which ALL students can learn. With everyone doing their part, everyday, we know our students are learning. Ask any of our parents or students and they'll tell you they feel safe, welcomed and cared for at TPS.
